I've used oranges and it is a very subtle difference

Never tried pineapple though

not trying to hijack the thread or anything, but speaking of oddities (at least in my book)has anybody ever tried oysters in the shell in the boil after your done with crawfish? Did this a while back and those were the best oysters I've eaten. Oh and I've never tried oranges (see told ya I wasn't trying to hijack)

never oranges, but in each crawfish batch I throw a whole pineapple in the pot. When the crawfish are ready slice the pineapple and its the best you've ever tasted

I'll usually add a box of pop tarts, blueberry specifically. You've got to use the one without sprinkles though, sprinkles ruin it.

Yes, I use oranges. Now don't use them in substitution for lemons; you must use both. With that said, oranges add a great flavor to the crayfish

ICe cream i could see... CRAWFISH???
FWIW some of you people on this board try to get a little too creative.

I use blood oranges, sometimes navels. As a conservationist, I try to lay off of the breeding stock as it is irresponsible and bad for the crop.

That's what club crackers are for. You don't wash your hands with crackers?

these don't belong in anything. looks like an oak tree leaf just floating in a gravy.

Crumble it up and throw it in some hot oil the next time you are browning some onions
