Skipped that area last year and went further into FLA...
Have a reservation at Fishers for a night out, but looking to see if theres anything else worth trying or checking out while out there.
Whether it be with the fam or a date night with the wife... anything new worth checking out? or same rinse and repeat?

True hole in the wall is King Neptunes. But a disclaimer here... I haven't been there in 14-15 years.
Eta: Yep they're still open. LINK

I love OB, but the food scene just kinda sucks. That being said, I had a really good meal at Big Fish last year. Fishers is great from what I hear.
As far as a cool setting to just go grab a drink and some bar food, The Gulf did a pretty good job. Just when you go, be sure to try for a bar seat and you don't have to stand in line for food orders.

For a beach tourist town in Alabama, I think the food scene is fine. I definitely wouldn’t say it sucks. A lot of decent restaurants and a lot of funner atmosphere places with ok food. Pretty much exactly what I want in a beach town in Alabama. May not be the best foodie spot, but plenty of options for a good meal. Not sure what PapaPogey wants, it’s not New Orleans.
Here’s a few where you can get a decent meal and fun atmosphere places are listed towards the bottom:
Cobalt
GT
Big Fish
Lagniappe
Doc’s
Fisher’s
Luna’s
Cosmo’s
Brick and Spoon
Fresh Off Boat
Pirate’s Cove
FloraBama Yacht Club
Lulu’s
Tacky Jack’s
The Gulf
