Saw grillades and grits. What's your place?

Speaking of grit & grillades, I got some from Maxwells Market once..They were pretty good, but I made the mistake of putting them over cheese grits, rather than regular gris...I've yet to try the ones at Another Broken Egg. <<hint, hint

Kinda like this cheesesteak guy?

That wasn't the owner, maybe his younger brother.

I know the owner and he's a good dude. And I actually didn't realize I knew him until people started posting about the place and I went for a Philly sammich.

Regardless, I love that so many people post on here about different places. Over the last few months, I've actually taken the time to expand my horizons and try different places. Most of them that people have said are good, have indeed turned out to be everything and more. I've hit South of Philly, Dempsey's, Opie's, Louisiana Laginappe, Jasmine's on the Bayou, and a few more. And most of what was posted on here was spot on.
And even if someone shamelessly plugs his place, it still better be good. Or some of the Food Nazi's around here will let us know how good or bad it is.

SOP is down Sherwood from China Express on the right, in the old Kingfish PoBoy place. Their Philly's are damn good, IMO.

I need to try Philly me up to compare. But, South of Philly was really good to me.

The worst thing right now is the construction in that area. I probably would have hit SOP up a few more times, but don't feel like fighting all the construction.

yeah, that construction work makes that intersection miserable..i normally go eat at the oriental pearl once a week, but i'm staying away from that area as much as possible.
