Our next challenge is pork tenderloin as selected by challenge winner ruger35. Please note that pork tenderloin is NOT the same as a pork loin and plan accordingly.

Submission thread will open at 9:00 am on Sunday, Nov 8.

Submissions posted after 9:00 pm will not be considered.

Remember, at least one photo. If submitting more than one, make your money shot count!

Voting thread will open after 9:00 pm that Sunday and voting will continue through Tuesday, the 10th, at 9:00 am.

One difference in the next round of voting is that voters will choose a first, second, and third favorite.

The more submissions we have, the more fun it is! It doesn’t even hurt to lose, I promise. (Or should I speak for myself?)

Thanks, that’s awesome!

Twenty 49 gets credit for mentioning the difference in another thread. Thanks to both of you.

This guy does that I killed yesterday. Only grabbed the backstrap and not the tenderloin.

The words in the picture even got it wrong.....a whole tenderloin does not average 16 pounds, a whole loin very well may....they screwed up the point they were trying to make

Comparative anatomy Just for fun

Backstrap = loin = ribeye and ny strip

Tenderloin = filet mignon

T bone = filet and ny strip (combined bone in)

Porterhouse = filet ( at least 1.25” across) and ny strip (Combined bone in)
