No. I think Manny will go to the grave with his recipe. He still goes in and mixes everything himself in unmarked tubs. His employees don’t even know.

Manny uses a lemon hint in it. That's the only difference. The unmarked stuff is for show for the people lining up like clowns.

i've had them both and don't notice any difference. And I've probably had hundreds from the Chalmette bakery over the years.

Manny's is much better. I've tried Nonna's on two different occasions, didn't like it either time.

I used to drive to NO for Manny's but I just go to Calandro's now.

I think the Mannys version has a little fiori di sicilia flavoring, or something close to it. It’s an Italian citrus/vanilla combo flavoring.....
