Nice!
I will add that to my list.
My daughter and I are coming to run and will be staying a couple of days after to eat. She’s never been to NO

Parkway is on our list. Still researching other things.

Just wanted to update as a thanks to all the responses that helped out. Going to be in Nola this weekend. Saturday dinner is going to be dictated when we get in, so no reservations there. Have a couple places in mind, will all just depend on the time.

Sunday Brunch - Commander's (yes, I made sure I have a reservation)
Sunday Dinner - Bourbon House
Monday Dinner - CellarDoor (looks good and is real close to the theater for concert that night)

Monday lunch is still up in the air depending on where we end up around town. Cafe du Mond and some of the other beignet places will be hit up at various times as well.

Mr. B's, Red Fish Grill in the Quarter. Drago's in the Hilton. Galatoire's for dinner, College Inn uptown for a bit more casual

CellarDoor is a cool little spot. More of a cocktail/small plates kind of thing. I wouldn't say its anything special but I've been there a few times and like it.

Why Bourbon House? Kind of an odd choice

We went to College Inn a few years ago and we all enjoyed our meals very much. I've been meaning to go back there. It has a neighborhood feel and the staff was great. I think it's neat that they have a garden in the lot on the side of the restaurant.

Ye Olde College Inn is fine. I personally wouldn't send anyone there that only has a couple of days in the city, I consider more a local thing or if you're going to Rock N Bowl.

I personally wouldn't send anyone to Red Fish Grill or Drago's if they only have a few days in the city either.

I get that. I might send them to Drago's for oysters only, though, if they're interested in trying those.

Yea, that is what we're expecting. Concert is pretty early, so we are eating at 5. This place looks to be perfect for what we need, and like a block or two from the Civic Theater.

I've always liked Bourbon House. Oysters have always been great.

Maypop is really good & across from the civic theater too. Cellar door is ok, the wife likes it a lot tho.

Borgne isn’t far & you can get a decent burger at Balise

Yea CellarDoor is going to be right up my GF’s alley. Just her type of place. I looked at Maypop as well. Haven’t ruled that out for Lunch or something. I still have two meals that are up in the air as to what we will do. Bunch of good recs in here. Will just depend on where we end up around lunch time.

Had a fantastic trip, thanks to everyone for their input. Ended up not getting in until late Saturday, so we met up with some friends who were in town and just went and found anything we could that was a reasonable wait. Went to The Gumbo Shop. I know that isn't anyone's favorite around here anymore, as I've read, but overall it was decent enough. At that point we were just hungry. We got the gumbo, sauteed shrimp poboy and the jumbalaya. We were pleased with all of it.

Sunday brunch at Commander's was absolutely phenomenal. My god I didn't think I was going to be able to walk out. I got the gumbo and she got the turtle soup so we could try both. Both were delicious. She got the BBQ gulf shrimp and I got the pecan crusted fish, against so we could both have some of each. I thoroughly enjoyed my dish, but wow those shrimp and grits. Desserts were the strawberry shortcake and the bread pudding souffle . Both were divine.

We also stopped in at Napoleon House that afternoon just to sit for a moment and grab a small snack and relax with a few drinks since we were right next to it. Cool little place. Food that got brought out around us looked pretty good.

Then walked over to Johnny's Poboys and split a shrimp poboy.

Saturday Night was bourbon house. Was very good. Bourbon was of course pouring well, couple milk punches as well. Can't go wrong. I got some raw oysters, charbroiled oysters, and the redfish on the half-shell. Enjoyed all of it.

Of course had to stop by Cafe Du Monde for breakfast on monday. Never disappoints.

We had lunch on Monday at Mr. B's. We split both the Gumbo Ya-Ya and the seafood gumbo and then split the red beans and rice. All were fantastic, especially the gumbos. By this point we were so full from food we couldn't each much haha.

Dinner Monday night before the concert was at the CellarDoor. I know it may not be a lot of people's favorite, but we loved it. Cool atmosphere. The happy hours specials were fantastic, $7 cocktails. They were very good. Got the popcorn to snack on. I had the burger and fries. it was solid. I've had better, I've had much worse. Was plenty of food, that's for sure. She had the ribeye with crab boil mashed potatoes and man was it fantastic. I would definitely go back just for it.

That Carousel bar is really cool, great idea someone had. Overall fantastic trip. Thank you everyone for your recommendations.
