Nice happy hour with piano/live music in Houston

Needs to be a hotel bar or a restaurant since we have a 3 year old.
Fri, Sat or Sunday night
Looking around 5-7pm range for a pre-dinner drink.

Tough criteria.
Sambuca downtown is the first thing that pops into my head. 3 year old needs to be well behaved though, and that age is right on the borderline.
The Rustic is another option, but its a standalone restaurant, not part of a hotel.

His mom was meticulous with zero booze. However, we discuss which bottle we chose at dinner to pair with food.
He knows seafood means white wine, spicy means the long thin bottles (rieslings) and steak means red wine.
We have well over 1,000 bottles of wine and whiskey in the house. Learning about them helps him respect them and hopefully not break them. Its been successful so far. He helps me pick bottles for dinner and we discuss which country its from...he loves it. I do too.

From a food standpoint, Sambuca is far superior to The Rustic. Start there if live music is a requirement. It's a good atmosphere. I did our anniversary dinner there several years ago. The music was a nice surprise

One of my parents is in poor health and at M.D. Anderson for quite a while now. They want to watch him appreciate live music since he loves it so much, so I am trying to make this special for them.
Typically, I would revert to a St Regis or Four Seasons, but information is minimal and is saying live music is on a covid pause for st regis.
We have done dinosaurs, etc in Houston with them already. Trying to make one of their birthdays special. My kid will rise to the occasion, even at the fanciest place.
Thinking of Coltivare, Trattoria Sophia, Xochi, da Gama as dinner options. I want the happy hour musical option to make it special.

Both are fantastic options for that type of cuisine. I even did my office Christmas party at Coltivare in 2020. Food is fantastic. But you won't get the intimate/romantic/musical feel you'll get at Sambuca on a Friday/ Saturday night. Though my date night there was great, so maybe I'm a little biased. Coltivare's food is really, really good though.

J Bar M for music and BBQ…they have a huge patio…frick the Rustic.
Da Gama is good…Ostia for Italian…I’d go to Urbe before any of Hugo’s other places right now…less fussy.

Urbe was a bit underwhelming, but it was new.
