Supposed to convert it into a slow and go smoker. Anyone try the slow n sear from Adrenaline BBQ:

According to amazing ribs, it's the best insert for kettle style grills. Review

Works really good. Got one myself. Has a trough area to put water in to keep all your meats from drying out as well.

Was just reading about it at Amazing Ribs.

It sounds nice, but it costs damned near as much as the grill.

I have two fire bricks (one has about 1/3 sawed off) that I stand on edge to block off an area for the charcoal. It lets me cook low and slow or indirect high heat. Works well.

I'm not convinced this $90 device will do appreciably better than my $3 approach.

Not bad. I like the water trough idea, but if just used fire bricks as others have mentioned personally

And when I smoke I the kettle, I used the snake method anyway, so no need for anything else really
