I apologize in advance, as I know this has been spoken of on this board time and time again. But what are your can’t miss meals in Nola? We are headed down for a wedding this week, and will have Friday lunch, all day Saturday, and Sunday brunch free. What spots would you try to hit for lunch and Sunday brunch, and suggestions for a nice dinner on Saturday? Thanks!

Edited to add I’m staying on Magazine between Poydras and Canal. While I’m open to drive anywhere, places in walking distance are a plus.

I won't say it's a "can't miss", but I had an absolutely fantastic dinner at Bayona this weekend. I've read mixed reviews on here before though.

Sweetbreads (favorite dish)

Roasted Garlic Soup

Lamb Loin

Berry Crumble

Damn, what camera are you using? Looks so great.

OP - I was pretty surprised at how great my meal was at The Chloe (new hotel uptown) this summer.

Just upgraded to a Galaxy S21. The camera is way better than my old S9.

The two best restaurants going right now in that immediate area are

Maypop

Compere Lapin

Maypop is open for lunch, too.

Friday Lunch..want a casual place with great food?
Station 6 Seafood ...105 Metarie-Hammond Hwy in Bucktown
right by RO's ...we eat there often...a lot of chefs in town go there when they have a nite off ...food is great in a laid back atmosphere. The rest of stay you will compare your food to Station 6!

You want nostalgic?
You want unique?
You want something more hip and newer cuisine?

Breakfast/Brunch @ Brennan's
Dinner at Maypop
Peche for lunch

There's others but those three are some that I would want to do
