Will be in town Friday - Sunday. Here's what I've got so far:

Friday Brunch - Atchafalaya
Friday late lunch - La Petite Grocery
Friday dinner - Peche (hoping to snag two seats at the bar as there were no reservations left).

Sat breakfast - Willa Jean
Sat lunch - either Turkey and the Wolf or one of the markets (St Roch or Auction House)

Solid choices? Anything else I should be considering? Leaving Saturday dinner open since I have no idea what we will be doing at the time. Concert at The Joy starts at 9, so I figure we will try to find somewhere casual that is close to there.

Peche and Turkey & The Wolf will be shitshows with the Jazzfest crowd.

I think it will all depend on your timing. If you hit Turkey and Wolf when they open for lunch might be ok, might be a madhouse.

What I might suggest is swapping Peche and La Petite. Go to Peche around 3 or 4 in afternoon, sit at bar, have a drink, some oysters, crudo, etc.. Then head to La Petite later that night and snag a seat at the bar. But odds are good on both accounts it could be hard to get in.

Jazz Fest is a weird one. Since it goes til about 7 pm each night, you tend to see more significant, later dinner crowds. So if you dont mind eating early, you can sometimes luck out. Of course, locals and folks who dont go to Jazz Fest tend to use this advice as well.

St Roch and Auction house is a coin flip. Not sure it is worth the trip to St Roch if you are near Auction House, but there are better options near Auction House. If TatW is your fallback then it really doesnt matter which you choose.

Sounds good but that is a lot of eating on Friday. Where is dinner on Saturday? I would go to Peche one night and LPG the other.

Is it open seating at the bar at LPG?

The issue I’ve run into is so far is that most places are booked starting Friday night into Saturday, which I expected due to Jazz Fest. I’ve had to pick places based on times available. But I just found out I was able to come down on Friday, which is why I’m trying to scramble last minute.

If brunch seating is difficult where you're looking, try Red Gravy on Camp Street. Good brunch and eggs.. meatballs and homemade pasta.

Will probably just wing it Saturday night. Somewhere casual near the concert venue so we can just walk over afterwards.

Peche has availability for lunch on Saturday, so I may do that instead.

I love this place, great food choices and a cool vibe.

For an out of the way breakfast place try Press Street Station.

Is it still open? Drove by it the other day and it looked like it had shut down.

Not sure why, but I thought it was a lot linger than that.

Supposed to be a learning space now. Wish they would turn it into a Cafe Reconcile type place.
