New Magnalite owner with a question

Hey Everyone
Just got a new Magnalite Classic set for Christmas and pretty excited. However, after the first couple uses the inside of the lids and some of the pots have some grayish splotching on them after boiling water or steam comes in contact.
I've since learned there are some issues with who is producing the Magnalite name and mine may not be the real deal.
Any ideas what this splotching could be or how to fix it?
Thanks!

Roll with it. It's from the minerals in the water. It's not harmful.

If you wanna be a real freak…..buy you some brillo pads and some comet or Ajax and scrub them off……it will take some serious elbow grease and it will show on the metals but it will shine like a bitch and prove to bitches everywhere you have OCD.
I brillo mine once a year…..but the blemishes show character.

The new stuff is definitely not as good quality as the magnalite our parents/grandparents use, but I think it's still good cookware.

I have my 20 y/o set and moms 40 y/o set. Someone will have to pry them from my cold dead hands. You can actually polish them with a buffing wheel if the get too bad but you are decades away from that.

McWare is distributed out of Mamou, but it's cast in China. I have a set that I really like- I've had it for 4-5 years, and it's been good to me so far.
