I live in a tiny neighborhood one block rom the old BR General, the property unbeknownst by me was only the property line away from Eden Park the thugs were thick there. New Years eve and I watched a Saints game at her house an headed home and all is quiet. Gunshots start around eleven mostly pistols, then up grades to shot guns as midnight nears. At midnight some genius lit of three sticks of dynamite. I drug my mattress into the bath room and curled up underneath for the night. I moved out before Feb 1 arrived.

I hit the new LeBlanc's today. It's so nice. I was impressed the second I walked in. They have a nice selection of everything.

Very true...caught a 9mm through my kitchen window and an AK round in my roof when I lived off Tiggy Duplessis back in the day.

Damn...you guys should look into moving to Scottsdale. I have never once in the 26 years I have lived here heard a gunshot, besides at the shooting range or while shooting in the desert.

just checked out a few more pictures on their FB page. Looks like a nice rack of aged beef.

Went there the other day and thought about snapping a pic of this to post for that guy everyone was knocking for his own aged beef pics a while back.

Grocery store is very legit, great selection and atmosphere. They definitely spared no expense at this location. I'm super stoked to be so close.

I finally had a chance to check it out. It isn't HUGELY different than the existing Leblanc's locations. There is certainly more depth to almost every department and offering though. A good amount of "specialty" or "high end" type products. The beauty of it, most stores that carry that type of product aren't good for weekly shopping. With this store, you get all the regular good prices plus access to these other items without making extra trips. It's a great weekly shopping store just amp'd up with deeper selection.

Layout and the overall look is really nice. They did a great job I think. The upstairs dining area is pretty cool as well. My 1 year old was turning into a pumpkin due to poor planning on our part, so we grabbed him a little bite to eat from the hot bar and went upstairs to feed him. You can eat without feeling like you are in the way like most grocery store dining areas. (Whole Foods for instance always makes me feel cramped and in the way)

I think the area is still under served with grocery stores. My prediction is all of the existing stores will remain 95% as busy as they already are. This store is just siphoning off business from EBR.

Again, if they would just put a Target, Izzo's and decent Vietnamese joint out here, I'd have little reason to venture up to BR.

Alexander's does this and I fricking hate it because their hot food deli sucks.

I beg to differ, they are the best.

I think the best answer falls somewhere in between those 2 statements.
