Juban's manager, Scott Callais, will say only that the restaurant will make an announcement about Juban's Grille in the next few weeks. According to records filed at the Planning Commission, the new restaurant will be 6,662 square feet and will serve alcohol.

Good addition! Hopefully this place will have a nice bar area so it will give Ruffino's some much needed competition out here!!!!

You order by price per bottle and not actual taste.

You know, there probably are a few Mitzis in CCLA. Nice touch.

Sweet, I wonder what else will be there. I know on the Highland side there's an Investar bank. Le Creole is really good yet the parking lot is largely empty.

It will certainly be a good addition. If you want a nice bar go just across the street to Bacchus and see Bridget. Great wines, great food and great cocktails. It will compliment Ruffinos and be good for all in the area. French Market Bistro has a quaint little bar as well.

And to point out a bit better, the food at Bacchus is very good, which not many people realize.

I've heard this from a couple of people as well. I'll have to try it out soon.

I frequent Bacchus a good bit. The food is good but I find the portions small. Bridget is cool, former lsu cheerleader. A lot of hot divorcees in there too

Hopefully this will put Le Cerole out of business, have attempted to go there 2 times and sat for 30 min without getting waited on before leaving both times, the older lady that appears to be the manager could not be more rude.

As others have said bacchus does have good food and is an excellent option for drinks, especially after dinner at ruffinos

As far as the beer goes at jubans kenny doesn't understand people drinking beer with a nice meal, but has been warming up to the idea as of late.

Does he know what good beer is?

Because artisan beer offers may more food pairing flavor possibilities than wine.

Ruffion's beer selection is such a shite show.

How can they do so much right, but this one thing so wrong?

I've never had a beer there and would not even know what you have. But I'm a fan of your wine cellar. These boys will give you plenty of beer suggestions.

Have a hand full of local craft brews-

NOLA ICS
Parish Envie
Chafunkta Old 504
Tin Roof Juke Joint
Abita Select Series
etc.

A choice or two from larger craft brews-
Stone
Sierra Nevada
Sweet Water

-would go a long way. Just look at what someone like Red Zepelen is doing.
