Just ordered my copy. Looks good and I love the way this dude cooks.
Good Read
quote:
It turns out a pinch of pepper means something very different to Isaac Toups than it does to much of the conventional cooking world.
The Acadiana-raised, New Orleans-based chef knows this now because he finally had to measure what he meant by a “pinch.” It was part of writing recipes for “Chasing the Gator: Isaac Toups and the New Cajun Cooking,” the cookbook he co-authored with Jennifer V. Cole, scheduled for release today.

I saw a video of him cooking a simple shrimp dish on the Today Show. He served it with dirty rice. Looked good.

This guy is the real deal. If you haven't been to one of his restaurants, you are missing out on a slice of heaven!

I may just order this, my Donald Link real Cajun book is getting wore out.

Found out today that a signed copy is coming my way. Flipped through it for a second and saw a recipe for back bone stew. Can't wait to start cooking from it.

I just can’t get into his entrees at Toups. Big hunks of meat just plopped on some rice or beans. All together uninspiring
The small plates & apps are good. Really like Toups south tho the service is not good.
