Friend asking where they should go. Only request they said is “something new and something good”. No kids. Price doesn’t matter.

Went to Compère Lapin for the first time last night. I would go there.

Just why do you recommend them?
We ate there recently and the place was dead. The oysters were "OK", but I would not go a bit past being ok. We ordered every oyster on the menu and they were not as fresh or salty as a NE Seaboard oyster from Maine or Massachusetts should be.

Well when I went it was packed and everything ordered was delicious. Had a bunch of people too.
Oh and it's close to le Pavilon.
