I love sesame seeds on breads for burgers, but I can't recall seeing any bread like that for poboys. I would love it.

Doesn't R&O's use them? Or have I lost my mind?

Don't think I've had a poboy there. I always get the muff if I'm getting a "sandwich" meal. It's my favorite. I'd like Leidenheimer's or that texture with sesame seeds.

Bumping this because I'm going in June and need to find the best Is there any sort of general consensus? Or does it depend on if you want seafood or meat??

Different strokes for different folks. I'll throw out some places to try depending on where you will be staying.

Parkway
Guys
Bears
Johnny's
Mahoney's
R&Os
Bevi
Crabby Jacks

This is a good start with places all over town.

Absolutely not

Haven't been to Bevi, but this is a really solid list. Some better for RB than seafood, some the other way around. None that you will turn your nose up at.

Well I'm making the food list with one other friend. He wants soft-shell, I want Oyster/Shrimp or a combo. So we seem to be more in the Seafood vein.

R&O's looks like a winner. Read about the Galley and Domilise too; are they just media ones?

I'm sure there is tons of love/hate going on here. If there was one that had solid everything, and maybe 1 it is "known for" that may work best, if that's possible

Go to Casamentos for this the soft shell

Edit: Galley is good. I like the SS crab poboy there. Little pricey and Id stick to seafood.
