Need something decent for early Sunday evening that is within VERY close walking distance. Parking would be extra special. It will be my wife and her elderly mother. Thanks!

Depends on how far you don't want to walk. You're almost exactly at the mid-point of the quarter.

I'd say EAT then, unless Wolfe's/Peristyle mysteriously re-opened.

not walkable but domenica, mila, la cote brasserie have valet parking and are open. Meauxbar is walkable but don't think it's open.

I slid right out of that one when the mother-in-law wanted to go.

I wasn't so lucky when I went to Chicago with my parents (about 3 years ago). A little piece of my manhood died that day.

smooth, very smooth.

i have been to several broadway shows. people that say, "oh, but they are all GREAT live and fun for anyone" are full of shite. Some were fun, some i wanted to stab my eyes and ears out with my car keys.

I have tried to like Broadway shite, but I just can't take it. I find it an incredible waste of cash. Wife digs it, however. She allows my indulgences, so there are times I have to bite the bullet.

What's your plan to kill the time whilst they partake in the delights of the show?

Changing the shite out of my daughter's diaper and keeping the dog from eating it. If I'm lucky, my son and I will watch Wonder Pets later.

It is honestly better that sitting through Wicked. The only bad thing is that I am missing out on a meal.

I wouldn't recommend EAT for dinner. While I LOVE their brunch...especially the shrimp and grits, their reviews for dinner have been mediocre. I went once for dinner and was very underwhelmed.

I too was going to suggest MeauxBar...but on another board someone suggested it for pre theater dinner and the person went and then reported back that the park gates were locked and they were unable to walk through the park, so it ended up being a long walk for them.

Yeah, its really a shame that Wolfe's isn't there. Maybe the theater revival will lead to someone re-opening the restaurant.
