The last time my smoker was fired up was a few days ago, and I made tomatoes.

I halved them, seeded them under water, then placed them cut side up on a foil wrap, with the edges propped up to catch any juice. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with old bay and chopped rosemary, then pecan smoke at 200+ for around two hours. They turned out incredible.

There are countless things you can smoke. Nuts, halved peaches, hard boiled eggs, etc. I've heard that chicken is pretty good too.

Smoked mushrooms are terrific esp in a pasta dish.

What'd you decide to do with the smoker?

I have the 40". It's great.

Like somebody else mentioned, it's fool proof. You can set it, go watch your kids play coach's pitch, shoot them with the hose in y'all's pool for a few hours, drink some beers (pics k thanks), and have a #Linetothestreet for some of the world's best Q.

Good luck. You're the next #Chef Rob.
