The jar I keep my raw rice in was passed down to me from my grandmother, who also used it to store raw rice.
On the lid is the following recipe:
PAL NUTTY BUDDY
2 cups shredded coconut
1/2 cup PAL
4 tsp vanilla extract
Mix and roll into balls. Refrigerate until firm.
What the hell is PAL?

Thanks, I figured it was something with nuts.
The jar I have would not be ideal for peanut butter, so I guess my grandmother got the lid from a different jar.
This is similar to the jar I have. It nicely holds 5 pounds of rice.

I found pics of 5 lb. pails of peanut butter, but didn't see jars. You've got a treasure, for sure, but because it was used by your grandmother, not because of the peanut butter.

Wonder how the ingredients changed from then to now?
ETA just went check a jar of JIF, has nine ingredients, peanuts is still first with salt and a few additives.

Rat, I see an empty square in your post. Is there a picture I’m supposed to be seeing?

So when are the Nutty Buddies gonna be ready?
