My take on classic tomato salad is Sunsugar tomatoes with roquefort cheese, basil, red onion, red peppercorns, hint of Serrano pepper, homemade red wine vinegar and EVOO.

Middle dish is Japanese pickled cucumber with nori, dried fish, ginger and sesame.
Bottom is Tzatziki also made with my cucumbers.

When did you plant the watermelon? Mine still have a ways to go.

Looks tasty.
I’m getting ready to cut up some Cherokee purples and toss w/feta and diced cucumber, dressed with a little white wine vinegar. The sheep’s milk feta crumbles a bit & self-dresses the salad.

I think what you believe is a watermelon is actually a plate and bowl made to look like a melon.

Nothing like fresh tomatoes and herbs right out the garden fresh off the plants.

One of my uncles use to have a large plot and he'd sell some of his extra produce. He always worked in the garden with a salt shaker in his pocket to use to eat tomatoes fresh off the plants.

I love the taste of fresh cut basil in salads and it is also very good on a baked potato with all the fixings.

Sunsugar tomatoes

Excellent. I ate an entire bowl of them the other night after a pick. Mine produce all the way into December, love them.
