If some of these are sold out and moving on to the next year, could you make this thread earlier in the year, like, say June?
I have thought about doing that for that very reason. Maybe I'll do a list next summer too.

Loved the 2015. Tried a bottle of the 2016 and it was heat damaged and I just didn't buy any more after that. Normally I absolutely love that wine. Is the 2017 out yet?

L.A. have you tried any of the Vending Machine Winery bottles?

I tried some at a restaurant in NOLA once and liked it so much I ordered a case of it to be shipped to Texas

I'd be interested if you have tried them and if there are any that you would recommend trying

I gotta admit I've never even heard of it.

I'll keep an eye out.

Evidently it's some Nola people that are in Napa

Originally you could only find it in NOLA restaurants but it looks like they've expanded to Baton Rouge and MS

Unfortunately they only have 3 distributors nationwide

The one I tried was the horror show and I really enjoyed it

Their blend Double Shotgun is really good IMO

quote:

The 2016 Double Shotgun

250 cases produced

75% Petit Verdot

25% Cabernet franc

Hand harvested from Southwest facing hills. Grown at 2.5 tons per acre, heritage clones. Long maceration, natural fermentation, 50% new French Oak, bottled unfiltered.

Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot? Come on into our house! Upon entering the front door you notice this room is scented with fresh herb and lavender bouquets. Proceed through the middle room where walls are painted a rich garnet and hung with pictures of pretty girls holding fruit pies. In the back you reach the kitchen where someone is cooking up a meal of smoked andouille sausage.

It’s not out yet. I see the 2016 in stores. Wonder when 2017 is coming out?

Should be soon. I've seen some Bogle 2017 reds out already.

Thank you.

You know, my brother in law, who lives in Hattiesburg, was telling me about something like this last year. This might be the group he was talking about. If so, he loved their wines.

That’s likely the one. Lincoln Road in Hattiesburg carries the whole line. A friend of mine is the distributor here in MS. Great and really interesting blends. My other favorite of the products my friend distributes is the SLO Down wines. Their Sexual Chocolate blend is one I keep on hand.

The Vending Machine Wines are very good, but a little pricey for the value. Usually selling in the $35-$45 range.
