Wow. Great reviews. Wife and I will make a day out it soon and go give it a try. Might have to stay somewhere over there close. Too far for me to eat and drive back to Gonzales. I have a switch in my stomach that closes my eyes when its full.

The breads, the sides, the deserts, the icecream all made in house. New Iberia has several new choices for lodging and someone is building a hotel very close to the casino.

I have never been, but the best steak I have had was at Vic and Anthony's in Houston. I would not mind going to Lesters to see if it compared.

Step 1: Click Search

Step 2: Enter the restaurant of interest into search field, in this case "Mr. Lester's"

Step 3: Press Search

Step 4: Find the topic of interest

It's the best steak you'll get anywhere in Louisiana, but like you said the location sucks.

shite, it's too far from Lafayette. We charter a little airport shuttle about once a year and go eat/drink. It's by far the best way to do it if you're a degenerate wino like most of my friends.

Oh, and best steak in the state.
