Monkey Hill bar closed down?

Just drove passed and it looked like it was closed for good. Website also down.

It’s no Madigan’s, but definitely an uptown staple for the past 15 years.

MH has been closed since March. Although, I think I saw lights on in the bar on Saturday night. I live really close by and rarely visit, when I do it’s always dead. MH has potential to be a decent cocktail bar if the owner would put some money updating that place.

St. Joe’s Bar back patio opened this past weekend if this is your area.

I went into Monkey Hill a year ago and it's a weird old man bar now, apparently. At least it was, during the week, when I went.

I think the peak of Monkey Hill was around 2008 or so. At least in my observation.
