Modding a cheap espresso machine.

I received a cheap espresso machine from Temu. The only really good thing this machine has done for me is caused me to go on a journey to create good espresso.
I have read about modifying good machines such as the Gaggia Classic to regulate and control water temp, flow and pressure. Could the same be done for cheaper machines?

How much did you buy this for? Mr. Coffee makes a cheap $40 espresso machine that works if you don't expect high quality coffee.
Idk man I would just invest in a good machine and not worry about modding.

I'm sure it could be modded.
Biggest hurdle you'll have to face is basically engineering and manufacturing your own materials to mod it.

Here's the problem though. What is a "good machine"? You can really go down a rabbit hole on espresso machines. Trust me.

You can buy a Breville Bambino for $300 and get a coffee grinder for less than $200. I went with the Barista Express when it briefly dipped below $600 a few years and love it. It's works incredibly well and I'm pumping out around 4 drinks a day.

Used, maybe. I got the smart grinder pro and it's a very very very mediocre at best grinder.

I never knew breville made a smaller version. Reviews look great! Im looking at
buying this and the baratza encore esp grinder since I’m mainly focused being able to extract a good sweet espresso.
Do you think this combo is enough to achieve that?

Look at the Turin SK40. I was going to get it but went with the DF64 instead. fricking rabbit hole out there.
