Good for her. Loved Royal China. Staple for my family when I was growing up. Can’t wait to check out her new spot.

I liked Shirley and Royal China. However, I find even better now that she sold it to the new owners. I will go try Shirley’s new place however, I feel safer in Metairie.

Bump.
I went for lunch today and have nothing but good things to say about Miss Shirley's.
After having to wait a bit for a table, Ms. Shirley herself came by to apologize with a complimentary bowl of dumplings. Besides that, the food was fantastic. Snow-pea shrimp dumplings, S&P chicken wings, Spicy seafood & mushroom soup, and Crabmeat udon noodles were some of our table's favorites.
Ms. Shirley even stopped by a few times during the meal to chat and ask how everything was. I never went to her old place, but needless to say they have a new fan in me.
