Other than avoiding being shot. Good places other then Rendevous and Gus’s Chicken?

Bar at the Peabody can be fun, Beale St has several bars to visit. I only visit in May, so I frequent the festival for chow, but I prefer Beale St for drinking & live music…

You need to be more specific.
Just like good food one day, Central BBQ down by where MLK got clipped is pretty good…
Fine dining though, Flight, Porch & Parlor, and Itta Bena will all treat you right.
Bars, just bar hop on Beale if you want to bar hop. If you want a more laid back experience, Peabody lobby… If you want to drink quarts in a can, listen to Rick James as loud as possible, and like the smell of smoke machines, Raiford’s is your place… The latter seems to be where the crowd I’m in ends up at after every Memphis wedding that we attend. It opens at 10 pm and is A-1 people watching.

Highly recommend Hog and Hominy in East Memphis. Also, the same owners have Catherine and Mary’s downtown which is great.

To be specific. Looking downtown area. Breakfast/coffee, a lunch spot, fine dining one night and some bars.
Will be hitting Raifords for sure

Gf and I passed thru Memphis this past week and ended up at Central BBQ on the way out and again on the way in. The Wings are life changing (we got most orders with the gold sauce)

Beck & Call at the very end of Beale St has a great view of the river and cool atmosphere. If you're with a girl, lots of great photo-ops.
And Central BBQ is my favorite BBQ joint in the US. And I've had bbq all over (haven't been to St. Louis yet).

Brother Junipers was great breakfast last time I was up that way. There was a desert place downtown that had amazing cheesecake I'm having trouble remembering the name of, I think it was Cheesecake Corner or something like that.

I like McEwans downtown.
Ernestine & Hazel's is an absolute dive bar. Allegedly haunted.
