Scored some nice crabs yesterday coming back from Reggio. I use chackbay in crawfish, but have never used it for crabs. Just roll what I normally do? Or do you guys add a bit more since it’s crabs

My recipe for 3 doz. crabs.

1/2 of a 12 oz of chackbay
1/2 of a 8 oz liquid crab boil
1/2 of a 4 oz cayenne pepper
1 bag of crab boil seasoning
1/2 of a box of salt.

Ice crabs 30 minutes prior to boiling. This makes the claws stay attached to the crab.

Add seasoning and bring water to a boil add crabs and cook for 12 minutes, cool pot and let soak for another 10.

My test to see if done is when both ends of the claw meat pulls out cleanly.

Say baw, it would be helpful to the OP if you specified how much water you're putting that seasoning into.

But yeh... how big a pot.

I have my own method, I just wasn’t sure how much chackbay to use.

There’s no measurement. Put your water in. Pour seasoning and taste the water. If it’s spicy and salty you’re good.
