Anyone else grow up eating this stuff?
Found a recipe from Hellmann's here.
Not sure if that's the same one my mother used but I'm guessing it is.
Unbelievable how moist it is.

That is a staple on Homecoming day at the church I used to go to. One of the matrons always brought one. Good, thick, and rich! I have not had one in a long time.

Chocolate Mayonaise Cake was one of the first things I ever made as a child.

I came in here to say the same and then saw the picture. I think I'd try it after reading the responses in here.

I've never had one, can you taste the mayo?

Mayonnaise is basically just eggs and oil so why would anyone think it's bad? Two staples in most cake recipes.

Same here, my excitement level has dwindled.

Not at all.
Exactly what martini said.
