Personally I think the food is meh. It was always hyped up to me and it has been overrated each time I’ve gone.

It's very much a "local" place. When I lived near that area I would go every now and then. Now that I don't live near there it never even enters my list of considerations. The food isn't bad by any means. Just not good or unique enough to make most people consider driving across town to eat there.

As an aside, I can't imagine buying a restaurant in this economic climate. In addition to ridiculous inflation and heightened interest rates on loans, essentially every restaurant is struggling to hire and retain employees. The former owners have to be thrilled to get out now

Shrimp Burger is legit, as well as 90% of the brunch menu. Their bar was also one of my favorite places to watch a Saints game when I lived in BR. Glad to hear they are keeping the menu as I still plan to support them when in town visiting family.

Yeah exactly. I’ll support them when I am back in town. My wife’s family is from the area and we make 4 trips per year back to BR. More or less, it’s about supporting the small business owner who’s been a staple in the area for so many years, and yeah that shrimp burger is legit!

Wait, really? Sunday night I get because that's the slowest night of the week in every restaurant, but not being open Saturday nights seems crazy.

Seems every place has a long wait for them now... mid City Beer Garden, Olive or Twist, OverPass, etc...

Brunch is tacky and it’s Baton Rouge so it’s a hand in glove type of thing.
