fwiw I've eaten at Maggianos Costa Mesa a few times mostly through happenstance. one time though deliberately selected it Anyways it's pretty good. def in a diffetent galaxy from Olive Garden. no comparison actually

eta to preempt any snitty (thanks AG Barr) replies I'm not saying it's great (I lived in Italy age 22 - 25). just saying itwould do very well in BR

I would rate Maggiano's a little higher than say, Carrabbas. It's a nice atmosphere with good service. Wife and I like to sit at the bar and have mussels and maybe split a flatbread. There are good specials on the standard dishes like lasagna, spaghetti, veal parm, etc. Order one for there and get a free one to take home.

All that said, I don't see why it wouldn't be successful in BR.
