No, that's Marilynn's Place.
And Marilynn's Place does not suck, old man.
The one time I went I got the pulled pork poboy and was not very impressed. Bread was stale and the pork was very bland. Nice bloody mary they made me on the fly though.
"yeah I think I can scrounge up a bottle of vodka somewhere back there" - the owner said to me.

I grew up with him. He's a great guy.
I've liked it every time I've been there. Red beans and rice are pretty tasty.

ok - we hit up the chef's table this past Friday.
Being a converted victorian style home it was cozy. We were pleasantly greeted and escorted back to our roomy table. The night consisted of 9 courses paired with wine.
The portions were generous...almost to the point of not being able to finish all and make it through every course.
Some of the items were ( cant remember all of them):
wasabi infused caviar / crab slaw appetizer
Veal with a curry and pine nut sauce
Smoked Gouda and Roasted Tomato Soup
Braised rabbit served in a nice pastry
Hibiscus Ice Cream with Key Lime pie
The food, atmosphere and conversation with Chef Steve and his wife made for a very nice evening. All the courses were delicious and interesting.
I would definitely recommend. The chef's table is not cheap but I feel the money was well spent on a local business offering a quality product.

Is there a menu that you order from at Mabry's or is it you make reservations and just eat what's being served that night? I'd love to take my wife there for our anniversary or something, but she's kind of a picky eater (no red meat, no pork, no to most wild game) so I think my money might be wasted if it's a set menu.

The dining room does have menu service. The chef's table can be from the menu or chef's selection.
I would suggest you call and speak to the chef or his wife concerning what you would like served / not served if you go with the chef's table service. They were very accomodating.
