That must be recent.
I lived on Range Rd in the late 80's and they were putting mayo on them then. I asked the lady behind the counter once why they put it on without asking and she said because so many people complained that it wasn't on there to begin with.
Had friends come to town a few months ago that I recommended Ryan's to for a good sandwich. One of them got a muffaletta and said it had mayo on it. They make great sandwiches but I'm not a fan of mayo on a muffaletta.

They also put roast beef on their muff.
Its good, and its the thickest muff I've ever had, it just has a few non traditional ingredients.
For those looking for lunch recs, the new Blackened Brew was great. Burgers, beer, and service were outstanding.

Punjabi Dhaba Indian Is about as good of Indian food as you can find around.
Far as Im concerned it is some of the best in the country. Definitely the south. Don't sleep on this place.
ALso be prepared, it is a foul old gas station with crappy old picnic tables. The place is not about the atmosphere.

After seeing the video of the staggering number of rats in that place, a few years ago. I just can't make myself order from there again.
I'm sure other places have similar problems but if we want pizza then Commodore's is our go to.

we like Tommy’s for what it is but overall the pizza situation in Hammond is deplorable

Tommy’s used to be a great place to hang out and drink when there wasn’t much else in Hammond. Now that it’s grown it’s just not good.
And yes Commodores is by far the best pizza. But for out-of-towners if you don’t know where it is, it can be hard to find since it’s on a side street.

There is no entrance/exit to interstate 12 on Morrison. You can drive further down and get to 55. But you still have to turn on Demarco to get to the building (which is behind the building that’s actually on Morrison).
If you aren’t from the area or in the area frequently it’s easy to miss.

You're right, just the six signs i passed today making that route, lol..
i see your point, you would need to look for the place to find it, but its worth it compared to Tommys..
(we just go to Johnnys in Covington, but i know thats taboo here to say)
