Great. I think we may go on Monday afternoon or before the parade.

Twenty dollar special? That and the MiLa lunch deal are the best in town.

You got it. I had the pate', a tripe/cavatelli dish and a crepes for dessert. Wife had the house smoked salmon, lentils and the crepes. They were packed.

Central Grocery and Johnnys poboys are money pics. You won't be disappointed with either.

Mother's used to be one of my favorites before Katrina. I've been there after and do not like it! Don't know what changed but it was awful! Port of Call was good when I was there last year so put them on your list.

If you're looking for a killer breakfast I highly recommend the Trolley Stop cafe on St. Charles. MONEY!

August has $20 lunch specials as well? I hit up MiLa the other day, and it was really good.

We ended up eating breakfast at Luke. I had the chicken and waffles. Very good breakfast, the chicken was perfect, moist, great breading, and crunchy on the outside. I ended up using the strawberry cane syrup on both the waffle and the chicken. Really well done, and a confortable setting.
We also grabbed lunch at Serios. The owner, Mike Serio, is a big LSU supporter. He won a "throwdown" against Bobby Flay. From what I understand, Flay tried some crazy shite with the olive salad and really blew it. Serios Muff was pretty damn good.
All in all, a good day for food on Mardi Gras day.
