Probably should have given more notice. For those interested, tonight at the Cajundome is the annual Eat Lafayette / LA Seafood Cook-off. $25 tickets to sample food from 50 restaurants. Cook-off will feature 10 previous cook-off champions including Tory McPhail who left NOLA last year to move back to his childhood roots in Bozeman, Montana. Talk about perfect timing

The last time I went in the convention center was a shite show. So many people and had to wait 20 minutes to get something. I hope a lot has changed

I agree brother, sadly I can't make it. It's my daughter's b-day and she requested ZEA for dinner. Would have gladly paid the admission price to observe the seafood selection, preparation, ingredient pairing, and cooking skills. Pretty sure it's being filmed and will air on PBS to promote the State seafood industry.

We used to have these on Treasure Island. They had little white cups to taste test and then people voted. Politics ruined it, it turned into whoever donated the most to Carolina Beach that won. Then the winner stopped making their seafood chowder with real crab meat, because they said a woman complained it tasted too fishy.
