Looking to get some good steak knifes

Non serrated, and not looking to break the bank. I have a good sharpener, so I’ll put an edge on them if needed. Every good brand I know of seems to be serrated

Victorinox makes a rosewood handled set that fits your description.

I have the Victorinox serrated just because I feel like guests don’t take care of them. I have ordered from Cutlery and More a few times and have had zero issues.

My wife (no pics) and I have had this set for years. We really like them. They hold an edge for a very long time, and new out of the box I don't think I sharpened them for the first 3 years.

I like old Chicago Cutlery like the model 103s with brass rivets.
Easy to sharpen and holds edge for a while.
I keep mineral oil on the scales, use a steel often and hand wash after each use. Easy. They will outlast me.
You can find good deals at yard sales, flea markets or just buy them off EBay for less then $5 each.
Give them a try. They are cheap enough and they may just surprise you.

I am a huge fan of old hickory knives Easy to sharpen and care for. They get s sharp as ya make them. My family used them in rugged service at da camp etc and they survive for years. I remember my grandpa's go to was the cleaver it was used and wore thin over many years till it looked like a knife

Yep, have one in my block on the counter.
Never tried their steak knives though.
Do you still have your grandpa's cleaver turned steak knife?
That would be cool.
