Anyone able to suggest some worthwhile Food and Drink in Johnson City?

Work has me spending a few weeks there soon, thus my question. A search of this and the travel board didn't turn up much.

TIA

We just moved to Bristol and our realtor lives in Johnson City. He recommends a place called The Label in downtown Johnson City. I haven’t been there myself however.

Southern Craft BBQ, and you didn't visit NE w/o a Pals visit. Cheddar rounds in the AM, chili urge fires and a sweet tea anytime after

I was born in Johnson City and spent summers at my grandparents there growing up but haven’t been there recently since they passed away. Ridgewood BBQ is a local staple and well worth the short drive out of town and the wait in my opinion. Another favorite was Freiberg’s (German Place) in downtown.

Yep. Get a compass and a road map. You'll need it.

Freigbergs for German food.
Holy Taco for tacos and drinks.
The Label is a popular spot - it's good but won't blow you away.
Cootie Browns is a good casual spot.
Ridgewood BBQ is close enough to go visit.. don't go right at closing time or they may be out of things or close the doors on you.
Pals is famous in these parts - nothing fancy but the best service you'll ever find in a drive through.
Scratch Pizza is a total hippie joint but worth a visit - it's BYOB.
Mainstreet pizza is a solid option as well.
Mid City Grill is perfect for late night food if you drink too much one night - they deliver.

Tiptons is a popular bar downtown but I've heard the college crowd has kind of taken it over so just FYI.. I haven't been in a few years.

Several breweries.. Yeehaw, Johnson City Brewing, Watauga Brewing Company.. not a brewery but I like Atlantic Ale House. I believe a new distillery just opened downtown area but haven't been yet.

If you have specific wants or interests let me know.. lived there 4 years and only about 20 minutes from there now.

Dang TN391, talk about delivering!

Boss just told me I may be there for 2+ weeks. My house plants back home may all be dead by that time, but it at least looks like I will be well-fed and, um, well-hydrated. Thanks.
