Looking for baking suggestions

I always get in the mood to bake around the holidays and the cooler weather has jump started that craving. I am tired of finding the same chocolate chip cookie recipes and pumpkin this and that.
Can anyone recommend a good recipe to bake for a dessert? Doesn't have to be a pie or anything but it certainly can be. I have been in the mood for chocolate so something with chocolate would probably move to the top of my list.
I feel like every time I start searching I find the same recipes over and over. Maybe someone here can suggest something a little more unique but still delicious.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cornbread Cake
Honey Bun Cake
Coconut Cake
1 white cake mix baked to package directions
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can CoCo Lopez
1 Container of Cool Whip
Bake the cake, use a fork and pole holes all over the top.
Mix the coco lopez and condensed milk together and pour over the cake. Spread Cool Whip over the top
Thats about the extent of my baking.

Tres Leches cake is one of my favorite desserts, and I love pumpkin. I think I'll make that for Thanksgiving.

Thanks everyone.
That Honey Bun Cake looks a lot like what my grandmother calls a Sock-it-to-me Cake but hers is done in a bundt pan.
I think I decided on doing some pecan pie bars, might add some choc chips to it since I have been craving chocolate.
