Never made one before and wanting to do one this weekend. Anyone know of a good one that doesn't have tomatoes in it? Tks!

I make a good one, but it involves some cherry tomatoes. It cooks down for so long that you wouldnt know it’s there. Gives it a little acidity. (It would be fine without the tomatoes, but ill keep it in the recipe below).
Cook a pound of boneless chicken thighs in some oil with seasonings of choice in dutch oven on the stove with lid off. Drain a little of the grease and remove chicken. Throw in a diced onion and bellpepper for about 5 minutes with salt and pepper (other seasonings of choice if youre frisky like me which is garlic powder and jalapeno powder). Then add the halved cherry tomatoes (idk about 20). Cook down for another 15 or so minutes. Start browning the sausage (1lb) in a cast iron pan while the veggies are going. You dont want any stiffness to the veggies. When the veggies are done, add the chicken and sausage to the dutch oven. Add in 32 oz of water since we will be using 16oz(1lb fettucine). Throw in a big ole spoon full of chicken base. (Better than bouillon brand). Add the pasta. Bring to a boil and let go for a couple minutes. Put the top on, turn heat to low, and simmer for 30min.
You can double and triple your recipe etcetc. This serves about 4 big servings. Pasta:water ratio is always 1:2. Chicken:sausage:pasta is 1:1:1.
Can add pork too which ive done, but i prefer my chicken and sausage more which is how i was raised. Its also easier.

Tks! If I add pork will that change the amount of water? Also, you recommend water and chicken base over using just chicken stock?

Cajun Ninja Pastalaya recipe
I’ve made this before and turned out really well. In fact might do it again this weekend.

Never heard of the chicken soup thing. But all his recipes are pretty fire honestly so I don’t doubt it.

I picked up all the ingredients today from his recipe. Gonna give it a go tomorrow afternoon. Only thing I changed was spaghetti instead of bowtie

I've been making a recipe for like 10 years that I found here. It was originally posted by treedawg, I just tried to look for it but the site it links to is dead now. Fortunately I've got the recipe printed out, I'll try to remember to post it tomorrow.

I cooked the Cajun Ninja recipe last night while we're out camping. Wife and kids loved it. I had some pork sausage from Bourque's in Port Barre I used and a pork roast from Costco I cut up. I'll definitely be making this one again. It was pretty damn good.

Would demolish that at the camp with some beers
