I'm just getting my feet wet when it comes to wine. Let's say, I'm "shin deep". I've been told by my long time wine loving friends that nothing can substitute for a good wine glass. So, I ordered a couple Riedel Vinum Burgundy glasses. When you hold them and clink them, you can tell they are special. The ring of the crystal is music.

I think they make the bouquet and taste a bit better. I've done the difficult research and had a wine in a Riedel and a 4/$10 glass side-by-side, and there was a noticeable difference. I love my Riedels.

What say the connoisseurs of the FDB?

Just drink wine that tastes good to you. You don't have to get all fancy about it.

If you can afford top end glasses and enjoy them, it is great to have them. What will you use for guests? Jelly Glasses?

We have gone to the bigger wine glasses that allows us to swirl the hell out of the wine.

I have nice wine glasses because I enjoy drinking from them, but I’m under no delusions about them significantly changing the wine itself.

If you can’t afford a couple of $30 wine glasses, you probably shouldn’t be spending your disposable income on wine to begin with

Your post stinks of shite and elderberries. Go back to MD2020..

Good wine is good. The vessel is not important.

You think the “clink” of the glasses correlates with the taste??

Really?
