Of my latest cigar exploits, a few impressions:
My Father Pasión...with the pale green label. Started nicely, but like many Pepin Garcia offerings, it got quite "black-peppery" about halfway down, and I couldn't dial it back, or keep it from burning hot. First half was really good however I would not pay whatever it is they ask for this cigar.

Don Pepin Blue 20th Anniversary, was wonderful, beginning to end, and NOT that in-your-face peppery. I would gladly have another, especially if someone gives it to me like this one. Don't think I'm going to pay whatever anyone is asking for these.

I recently purchased, from Cigar Page...check out their sales...a fiver, and now a tenner, of La Flor Dominicana Suave. It's their original line from 1997, basically, and they are delicious. These are fairly mild, but Oh so good. The five pack were coronas, and the 10 pack is the Insurrectos, a Lonsdale size. These will be difficult not to smoke in one fell swoop.

Cheers, fellas.

First night in a while to sit outside and burn one. A My Father and a Woodford Double Oak. It's an absolutely beautiful night hear in Texas. Happy Friday gents.

Also, I finally got to go to Don Juan's in Baton Rouge and it was a little cool spot. I wish I had a cigar bar near me like that.

If you're in BR and not enjoying one in this weather, you're doing it wrong

I did a taste test today between the Serie V and the Serie V Melanio.

Yes to both.

Also found a hornets nest, knocked it down, and then watched Barkevious gnaw at the fire pit.

Empty stomach for controlled variable.

Serie V better
But yes to both.

No video of me running like a lil beeesh when nest fell.
