I have bought from Fox the last few times. They ship with a Bovada packet every time. I got a 5 pack of their inhouse blend and they are pretty dang good and reasonably priced.

What cigar would y'all recommend a beginner to pair with bourbon or scotch?

I wouldn't want the cigar to over take the flavors of the whiskey

Any size/shape Oliva Serie V cigar. They're mid-range, solid, and you can find them almost everywhere. Pairs great with bourbon and scotch.

Outside of that, the only other advice I'd give a newbie is to pick something with a medium-brown wrapper to pair with Bourbon. Maduro (Dark brown, black, fermeted leaves) will probably be too strong, Connecticut (light brown) may probably be too mild for the pairing.

Lots of great brands out there, as a rule of thumb, try to keep it in the $8-15 range for a single cigar, one night type of deal. To start, at least. Wait until you have a few under your belt before going for the $20+ cigars. You don't want to be 30 minutes into a 3 hour smoke, turn green and waste it.

Macanudo Cafe, Padron 2000 Natural or CAO Gold would be what I would choose from. All three are pretty mild, but have excellent flavor profiles.

How does cigarbid work, I've never ordered anything from there. If I'm reading right people are "winning" 10-packs of undercrowns for $1.

Am I misunderstanding the bids and how the site works?

Looks to me like opening bid was a dollar and it’s up to 11 already and there is still 2+ days to go on the bidding

As far I understand it, they will open bids on items for a certain amount of time and you can bid against other users. If your bid is the last one when time runs out, you win.

Strange, it's reading different now than when I posted. When I linked it it had all of the "winners" and they were all showing as $1.

Either way, I'm seeing that there has been 8 winners in the last 2 days and all but one were $12 or under.

Worth a shot. I’ve heard that it takes a while to actually receive your product from them. I’m going to bid on a few items tonight and see what happens.

Went with punch flathead 554 and makers after along week. No a bad one, but not a great one either.

Stay away from cigarbid. It’s addicting lol. And they ship HORRIBLY. They have to rest in your humidor for about 2 months before smoking.

I’ve been smoking the Mil Dias from Crowned Heads a lot since they came out last year. They announced a new Churchill size a few days ago, and was able snag a box after coupons for $112.

Lol yeah I figured it had to be too good to be true, but if I can get 10 undercrowns for $12 I’ll survive.

Found this I got 4 years ago and forgot about. It has been in the glass tube since. Should I just toss it?

I figured such. I bought it in Playa Mujeres Mexico 4 years ago. I don't remember what I paid

Counterfeits are notorious for being filled with trash and scrap. You have no idea where that tobacco came from. Not worth the risk.

And that Cohiba is a very bad fake. Cut it open and see if it's even long filler.

Having a special night with my good stuff after boiling 4 sacks for my daughters graduation party. Haven’t been active on here lately due to a crazy busy 2 months, but cheers fellas; let’s enjoy our short lives
