Unfortunately here in Iowa, tobacco tax has knocked out almost all of the more private cigar lounges/stores. Consequently I am forced online to keep my three humidors stocked.

Cigars are my primo but I just fired up the pipe after a long (inexplicably so) hiatus and I think this may be my new Sunday evening alternative.
So smooth.

I’m a complete cigar noob so don’t laugh at me. If I buy an entire case of cigars that are individually cellophane wrapped but not sealed, how long will they be good for if I store them in the closed wooden box that they come in?

The wrapping is to prevent damage.

Just buy a humidity pack(boveda) and stick them in some Tupperware

Like Jonesy said, because there's really no way to know for sure, at least that I'm aware of. But it's so easy to make a functional humidor, i.e. Create a controlled humidor-esque system that there's no reason to gamble with just a box for longer than a week or so.

Happy Stoging.

Humidity and/or change of temp is what damages the cigars, so there is not way for us to know "your closet". You may be safer placing them in your underwear or sock drawer....but too many unknowns

Very Nice... one of my favorites!!! That Jaime Garcia Reserva especial is good all around (taste, draw, smoke, texture, burn) and never had a bad one.

I'm reverse searing 2-1 1/2" thick bone in ribeyes and drinking some Elijah Craig. After dinner I can't wait to light up a Flor De Las Antillas from My Father.

The sun is back out and weather has returned to spring glory. Time to enjoy a new stick.

Today I enjoyed a Gurkha Chairman’s Select. Very nice smoke. Still find Cohiba Red Dot or CAO Italia to be my favorites however.
