When I went like 4 or 5 years ago, it was a pretty cool atmosphere. I think there may have been wine all over, but it had a real dinner feel. I liked it.

Thanks, since we are going to see Love immediately after, the group will be kind of dressed. Suits (no ties) and ladies in dresses. Just wanted to make sure I am not walking into a Sizzler or Luthers.

not at all

It will be fun going through the casino to get there, but once you are in the steakhouse, it's pretty nice. I'm not sure if there's a dress code for it or anything, but you'll clear in that department anyway.

The Top of the World Restaurant at the Stratosphere has really good steaks. The atmosphere is excellent as well.

It is on one of the top floors and slowly rotates, so you get a great view of the entire city. While you are eating, people are doing the sky jump off the side of it.

Only problem is that it is kind of far away from the rest of the strip, so you will need a cab.

I at at Del Friscos in Vegas last summer, sat in one of the private wine cellar rooms. One of the better dining experiences I've had. Oh and the steak was perfect.

I keep hearing Circus Circus has the best "value" on the strip, but I just can't picture a steakhouse there.

They are correct, the steaks are very good at "The Steak House" and the prices are reasonable; however, it's located in Circus Circus which is a dump. If you don't mind being surrounded by 10,000 Mexicans, go there.

Other great steaks that are just a little more expensive are at "Gallager's" located in New York New York and "The Steakhouse at Camelot" located in the Excaliber.

Ruth's Chris is always an option (so comparable in price/ambiance etc), but kinda hate to travel all that way and eat something I can do on Veterans or Fulton Street.

I totally agree. My wife and I have a rule that when we travel, we never eat at the same places we have here in Baton Rouge or New Orleans. (Except for Jimmy Buffet's on the Strip and we only go there for Margueritas and nachos.)
