I'm going to Las Vegas for the first time in a few weeks and I wanted to get a few recommendations on the following:

1. Best Steakhouse

2. Best Buffet

3. Best all around restaurants

Thanks in advance!

SW Steakhouse in the Wynn is excellent but,as all things at the Wynn, a bit pricey.

Best steak I have found, especially for the money, is at Circus Circus. Sure the casino itself is a dump, but my steak there was excellent and very reasonable.

Best buffet would have to go to the Wynn or Bellagio. Stay away from the Luxor buffet unless you are constipated.

I'm headed to Vegas next week and have reservations at Sage in Aria. I hear it's awesome, so I'll report back for you.

I'm also going to the Thai restaurant (I can't think of the name right now) that was seen on The Best Thing I Ever Ate on Food Network. Seems to be about as authentic as you can find around, so I want to try it out.

Agreed. Great meal. I have no idea how that place ended up in Circus Circus I'd recommend it to someone wanting a better deal on the steak. The restaurant doesn't match the less appealing casino/hotel.

Lotus of Siam is the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to. I can't imagine it would be any other restaurant.

Asking which is the best steakhouse in Las Vegas is like asking who is the prettiest actress. There are plenty of candidates, and it's a matter of personal taste.

For a cheap night off of the strip, I highly recommend Ellis Island. $7.99 special comes with nice Sirloin, baked potato, green beans, salad and a big beer.

It was much better than expected. Gamble while you wait. Cheap tables.

It's a block off strip behind Bally's.

If you want awesome Italian, you can't beat Il Mulino in Caesar's Forum Shops. Best service I've ever had too.

Rather than "best steakhouse" I'll give you a sweet place where you can order a steak: The Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay. It's on the 64th floor and has huge patios overlooking the whole strip. Go on restaurants.com and find a coupon - I got a $50 coupon for $10.

Wynn and Bellagio buffets are great but pricey for a buffet. Wicked Spoon in the Cosmopolitan is a great buffet with amazing desserts. NYNY has a good Asian style buffet that isn't bad for cheap.
