The Lafayette and surrounding area west of Lafayette is not in my sales area so I’m a little unfamiliar with the current culinary scene. My boss wanted to stop here to see a customer in the morning over in Broussard. Neither one of us care what the cuisine is, we are just looking for something good to eat. We both tend to stay out of chains and eat at locally owned restaurants. It can be white table cloth or a dive long as the food is good.

Anyone have any recommendations? Thank you in advance.

No shortage of options, but popular picks staying in Broussard alone would be Prejeans, Fezzos, BJ's Poboys, and Poor Boy's Riverside Inn. Unless you really want Poboys, I would personally go to Fezzos, but if you want Poboys go to BJ's their seafood Poboys are top notch.

This. Poor Boy's Riverside is MUCH better than Fezzo's.

Seems like I ate at Poseidon for Greek food years ago and thought it was good. I’m thinking that’s the correct name of it.

Poseidon is awesome if coming into Lafayette is an option.

Best damn lamb chops in the State of Louisiana, from a restaurant owner who is very pro-America and doesn’t skimp on the booze for old fashioneds.

I don't disagree, but in my head this was a lunch and Fezzo's is often a lunch pick especially on Thursday's for their lunch special. 8oz Ribeye, side salad, potatoes, tea, and a tip for under $35.
