The wife and I are heading to Lafayette from Cenla tonight in search of oysters and a good poboy. We love Uncle T's, we have been multiple times. Just getting recs on some other restaurants yall may enjoy for oysters and a good poboy..
Sorry for the post, the search feature wasnt helping much.
Thanks in advance.

Dons for oysters and old fashions. Old Tyme for poboys

My favorite oyster poboy in the area is Dupuys in Abbeville.
I always ask for oysters to be lightly fried and they are prefect. Onion rings are great also.
I live an hour away and a few times a year will make the drive to eat at Dupuys.

Vestal has some seriously good raw oysters if you're willing to do oysters then make a move for the poboys.
You can eat them at the bar after 4:30 or 5.
Mixed drinks are expensive but wine and beer arent ridiculous as long as you're not ordering the nicest bottle

Coming from CELNA, if you are not going to T's, this would be my next place.
However, you are much more likely to meet me if you go to Uncle T's, so factor that into your decision.

I will probably be at T's. I love everything about that place. We had Cafe Josephine not long ago. We had another couple tag along with us, knocked down 72 oysters on dollar oyster night.

Ill message on here if we go tonight. We are kid free tonight, so Mrs. Coach might want to go somewhere nice.
