Man, this place is legit!!!!
Those heavy set black ladies can cook their asses off, and they make sure you are fed.
I ordered a two piece and beans. She said, "Baby, I put three pieces in there because they look small!" (You'll never see that at Popeyes)
Their chicken is is amazingly spiced, with some good heat, but not so hot, it kills your taste buds on the first bite. Their red beans have big chunks of pork in them.
I'm not sure if all KKCs are like this, but the one in Dutchtown feels like the employees take pride in their cooking.
She went as far as telling me she had chicken coming up even though there was 6 pieces left in the box. She took them out and put them in the back.

Actually I have to say, I ordered just like a one piece and biscuit at Popeye's because I was trying to cut back (somewhat).

They thought I was only ordering that because I was broke and gave me a 3 piece and 3 biscuits.

How could I turn that down?

Also I get extra pieces that I don't need at another place in town.

No to high jack, but didn’t think we needed another fried chicken thread. Has anyone ever had some from Pic-a-Pak in Port Allen? Wife’s uncle bought it for us once when we were helping him gut his house after flood. Some of the best I’ve had!
