Keeping Jambalaya
I am making a jambalaya for a church potluck. What’s the best way to keep it warm during the service? I thought about putting it in a crock pot but would that make it mushy? Ideas.

You could put it in a covered aluminum foil tray and keep it on low in the oven. Make sure the cover is tight.

Put it in a well insulated cooler. It will keep it warm.

Styrofoam coolers work great. It get them from the gas station. You can serve from multiple coolers are use one at a time keeping the closed ones hot for hours.

If you make it right before the service, it will still be pretty warm after a normal length church service.

This is assuming you are making a large pot.

It will stay hot for 1 1/2 hours in a black iron pot if you dont take off the lid.

In a bind, put it in the heaviest pot you have and wrap that in aluminum foil (shiny side in) and then in two or three towels.

Love covered dish meals at church. Always some good stuff to eat.
