So take the making money off raffle out of the equation. It is very frustrating when you give Calandro's a phone call and are told that a particular brew will be on the shelves by X date. Head to the store on X date and its nowhere to be found and workers act like I am an alien when I ask them about it in person. Then I come on here and am told about some random raffle for the brew that will be happening after Easter
Was interested in trying KBS after all the raving about it but Calandro's ruined that.

I'm probably the only one in here that agrees with you that the auction is a good idea. Probably could have sold a little bit then raffled a little bit, but idk what yalls stock looks like. All the people on here that say they aren't going to shop at your store anymore are full of shite. And if they don't, that's even better cause then I'll take what they don't buy anymore. Either way, your beer is going to sell. The amount of people that claim they will no longer come to your store will be half the size of the group that shows up for the auction alone.
That being said I don't know why there has been this sudden influx of managers/chefs/owners coming to the defense of their restaurants/stores on this board. It's just never going to go the right way for you.

Yeah I know. And we usually dont respond to any of it when we do get criticized, the only reason I did do it was because I was made out to be stupid by the OP, when that wasnt the case. But as far as everything else goes Im fine. Im finding this thread to be very entertaining

Well, I'm just thinking that you may not get the KBS frenzy that you are expecting. It won't be anywhere near the level of the Pappy release because there is a metric frick ton of KBS in baton rouge right now as opposed to the tiny amount of Pappy that finds its way here.
Sometimes the cute raffles are justifiable, but IMO this is not one of those times. It isn't my store though, so you do whatever you want. Doesn't bother me, I got my kibbis already.
