Burgers are top notch but when I was at LSU last year they were known for occasionally taking advantage of the drunken patrons outside Bogies late at night by giving back incorrect change or overcharging.

Seriously that was one guy like 3 years ago. fricking owner even got on here and posted about it. No idea who works the cashier but as mentioned earlier the owner is a pretty standup dude. I bet if you sent him a message on twitter or facebook about it and specifically told him about an instance he'd do something to resolve the issue.

Wasn't trying to start anything... just chiming in with personal experience, just as everyone else here has.

I'll remove my post, however, and refrain from discussing Curbside on here to avoid the unnecessary yet inevitable shite storm that would ensue.

I was the original poster. People started throwing around crazy rumors (like the stolen gf one) to either stir the pot for fun or just from a mix-up of another incident. All that drama was false or unrelated to my incident. Myself and the Curbside guy emailed to try to hash it out. I didn't realize that posting in this thread was going to evoke the "not this shite again" responses so I'll let this be my last post and let everyone carry on.

He didn't go for your punitive damages remuneration demand, I'm guessing?

well it just seems like you wouldnt be saying that again if y'all hashed it out.

I think that was the whole point of that... you know, he'd make amends, you'd stop badmouthing him?

The only problem I've ever had at curbside is that my pants got a little wet after some brisket fries, around the crotch region. I had a big meeting to go to afterwards so it was tough covering it up, and my secretary noticed and tried washing my pants before the meeting. She took them to a one hour cleaners, but everyone was gone, so I had to just sit in my office in my boxers while I waited for my pants to come back. The meeting was about to start, but the only thing I had was a kilt that my grandfather gave to me to hang in my office (which i never did). So I convinced everybody it was an Irish holiday and went to the meeting....

I've had curbside 3 times since, and the same reaction... worth it.

That place used to be a complete shiteshow around closing time outside Bogies. I don't know how they ever managed to get orders right. They'd take orders and people would just wander off, they'd have people losing ticket stubs. Seems like they've started taking their last order before closing lately, maybe to alleviate some of that.

I know that's where their truck started, and I'm sure they make a mint there late-night, but with their success I'm not sure I'd still put up with the hassle over there if I were them. Their food is awesome and they all seem like pretty good guys involved with that whole thing.

Okay, okay . . . it's time to let this one slide. There's nothing wrong with using the phrase. In fact, this horse has been beaten beyond dead. There are dozens of other commonly used phrases that can be parsed and critiqued.
